TRELLIS.2

TRELLIS 2 Image to 3D Model Generator (TRELLIS.2)

Use this TRELLIS 2 image to 3D workflow to turn one photo into a textured model with Microsoft TRELLIS.2. Choose Base for a 512-resolution generation at 25 credits or Pro for 1024 at 45 credits. Sign in, upload your reference and inspect the finished GLB in your browser before downloading it or exporting OBJ, STL or USDZ.

TRELLIS 2 image to 3D: choose Base or Pro

Base runs TRELLIS.2@512 for 25 credits per generation. Pro runs TRELLIS.2@1024 for 45 credits. Both accept a single image and produce a textured 3D model. The resolution describes the generation setting; it is not a promise of exact dimensions, a particular polygon count or a perfect reconstruction of your subject.

Start with Base when checking whether the silhouette and overall volume match your reference. Choose Pro when you want to try the higher resolution with the same source image. Compare visible shape and texture separately, since a more detailed surface does not establish that hidden geometry is correct. All accounts with enough credits can select either tier.

From one image to a downloadable model

  1. Sign in with Google or an email code. New accounts with a verified email receive 60 trial credits once.
  2. Upload one PNG, JPEG or WebP image, up to 20 MB. Use an image you have permission to process.
  3. Choose Base or Pro and review the displayed credit cost before generating. This page opens the generator in image mode with Base selected.
  4. Generate the model, then rotate it in the browser preview. Review the front, back, underside and any thin or disconnected parts.
  5. Download the original GLB, or export OBJ, STL or USDZ in your browser. Completed work is also available through My models.

Failed generations have their credits returned automatically. If the shape needs improvement after a completed generation, revise the reference before spending credits on another attempt.

Prepare a useful reference

Frame one object clearly and keep the full silhouette inside the image. A plain background and even lighting help distinguish the subject from shadows or nearby objects. Avoid cutting off handles, feet or narrow projections. Strong reflections, transparent parts and deep occlusion can make the visible shape ambiguous.

One photograph records only one view. TRELLIS.2 estimates the surfaces it cannot see, so inspect the result as an interpretation rather than a measurement. For a product study, record which proportions matter and compare those regions in the preview. The reference image guide explains framing and hidden-surface review in more detail.

Downloads and browser exports

The original generation is delivered as GLB for preview and download. OBJ, STL and USDZ are conversions performed in your browser after the model completes; exporting a finished model uses no generation credits. Keep the GLB as the starting artifact when transferring the result into another workflow.

Check the exported file in your destination application before relying on it. Formats carry different geometry and material information, and STL does not preserve the textured appearance of GLB. Printing requires separate checks for scale, closed surfaces and wall thickness. A generated asset is not automatically rigged, animated or ready for fabrication.

Browser generation, local setup and other models

You can use this page without installing the model or arranging a local GPU. For a comparison of running the project locally with at least 24 GB VRAM and using the Hugging Face Space, read the TRELLIS.2 setup and demo guide. Those are separate ways to access the project, with their own setup and access conditions.

Ultra uses a different model: Hunyuan3D 3.1 Pro. Its single-image generation costs 85 credits, or 120 with PBR. See the Hunyuan3D 3.1 image and multi-view page for the 2–4 view option and its pricing. Base and Pro on this page remain the TRELLIS.2 choices.

Questions before generating

Do I need a subscription to select Pro?

Tier access depends on having enough credits. A paid plan is not required merely to select Base or Pro. Review plans and credits when you need a larger balance.

Can I control the polygon count?

This interface selects the model tier and resolution rather than an exact face count. Inspect the result and use a modeling tool for any topology or geometry-budget changes.

What if generation fails?

Credits for a failed generation are refunded automatically. Check the failure message before trying again. A completed model that needs artistic revision should be reviewed separately from a generation failure.
